Still though, She Sweeps with Many-Colored Brooms

The Bustle in a House - Emily Dickinson

The bustle in a house
the morning after death
is solemnest of industries
enacted upon earth.

the sweepin up the heart
and putting love away
we shall not want to use again
until eternity.

I think its time to get busy in my industries.

Besides sweeping up my heart.. .I think I'll use a many-colored broom.

It'll allow me to enjoy the mundane process.

and I shall drink from the giggling brook of life when I thurst, and add a day or two to my time.

And I shall put away all romantic notion for now, since it does me little good.

But I can't help but love as much as the flowers can't help but be beautiful.

...thus unfortunately, deromanticizing me will be more tough then I had originally thought.

And when it gets too hard, I will grab my guitar and woo the world. And when my fingers turn blue, I will write a sonnet then thereafter to pour my heart into.

And in the end, I may say, "It is Good."

And in the end, when everyone else looks upon my time, all that they may say is, "God is Good."

and O I long for that day...for
then I shall be in Heaven.

`Tis true.
